Founded in August 1999 by Chairman Dennis Jackson, and by Guy
Patrick Garraghan, a native son of Windham, New York, WRIP grew and
flourished under Garraghan's guidance for eleven years. His untimely
passing in November 2010 left a void in the Mountaintop community.
Guy will always be fondly remembered by those who knew him - and
missed by the thousands who awoke to his voice every morning.
Under the continued leadership of Jay Fink, President and General
Manager and a fourteen year station veteran, WRIP tapped the talents
of another broadcaster - long recognized for his community
leadership and integrity - from our sister station, WQQQ in
northwest Connecticut. Joe Loverro joined WRIP as Morning Show host
and Operations Manager in May 2011. As we enter our fifteenth year
of broadcasting, WRIP pledges unwavering community involvement,
thanks to the continued support of our many fans and successful
